CYNTHIA CHAN
Cynthia has two decades of experience in custom market research, focusing on unearthing consumer insights using a range of qualitative approaches. She provides end-to-end services to design, manage and execute qualitative research projects in the US, Asia, EU, Latin America, and the Middle East.
Cynthia is a thoughtful problem solver and lends extensive social-cultural expertise to her work. She has significant experience researching multicultural and global audiences and is an expert in China's emerging culture and values. In conducting global research, she believes consistency in data collection is critical for success. To ensure research is executed to the highest standards, she works closely with HCo's local partners and moderators to create thoughtful insights and learning.
Cynthia is co-author of China’s New Culture of Cool. She is a native Cantonese speaker who also speaks Mandarin fluently, conducting in-language focus groups and ethnography in the US, Hong Kong and Mainland China extensively.
In her spare time, you can find Cynthia pursuing her creative passions–painting (watercolor and Chinese brush).
